Service area · Bacliff, Texas
Bacliff started out in 1910 as Clifton-by-the-Sea, and it only became Bacliff when the name Bay Cliff was misspelled on postal paperwork (Wikipedia). It began as a seaside weekend resort on the bay. I’m Jen Duke, and I photograph maternity, Fresh 48, newborn and family sessions for Bacliff parents who want good photos of these weeks, with mom in them too.
Newborn sessions are in my natural-light home studio in Richwood, by appointment. Fresh 48 can be at the hospital or at home, and family photos can be at your house or outside. Each session comes with a digital gallery to download, share and print from.

Local to Bacliff
Bacliff is a census-designated place of 9,677 people (2020 census) on the western shore of Galveston Bay in Galveston County. The Dickinson ISD part of Bacliff is zoned to Kenneth E. Little Elementary, and the northern part of Bacliff is zoned to Clear Creek ISD (Wikipedia). A few things about Bacliff can help you plan photos.
Residents asked for the name Bay Cliff after World War II, and a spelling slip on the paperwork made it Bacliff (Wikipedia). Small details get lost fast. When you print baby photos, write the full name, date and place on the back so nobody has to guess later.
Bayshore Park on FM 646 has five baseball fields and a boat ramp, on land donated to the county in 2005 (Wikipedia). For your own game-day photos, stand at the fence at kid height and shoot in the late afternoon, when the light is softer.
Bacliff sits on the western shore of Galveston Bay (Wikipedia), so the water is to the east. If you want a bump photo or a family snapshot by the bay, try early morning, when the sun is low and the air is cooler.
