Service area · Bailey's Prairie, Texas
Bailey’s Prairie is a village of about 775 people on Highway 35, between Angleton and West Columbia, named for Brit Bailey, who staked his claim here in 1818. It’s open, flat country with a lot of sky. I’m Jen Duke, and I take bump photos, hospital photos, newborn photos and family photos for families out here who want these years printed, with mom in the pictures too.
Newborn sessions are in my natural-light home studio in Richwood. Fresh 48 can be at the hospital or at home, and family sessions can be at your place or outdoors. You get a gallery to download from and order prints.

Local to Bailey's Prairie
Bailey’s Prairie grew from 727 people in 2010 to 775 in 2020. Kids here are zoned to Angleton ISD and Angleton High School (Wikipedia). It’s a small place, so here are a few honest ways it shapes photo planning.
Local lore says Brit Bailey asked to be buried standing up, facing west, and people have reported a bouncing ball of light on the prairie between West Columbia and Angleton ever since (Lavaca County Today). Facing west is good advice for photos too. The hour before sunset, with the sun low behind your family, gives the warm glow people love.
A state historical marker notes that the Brit Bailey Plantation was established here in 1818, and Bailey was later part of Austin’s colony (Historical Marker Database). If your family has deep roots in the county, plan a photo with grandparents and the new baby together. Those are the pictures people look for later.
Angleton is about five miles east on Highway 35 (Wikipedia), and UTMB’s Angleton Danbury Campus there has a labor and delivery unit with 11 birthing suites (UTMB Health). If you want Fresh 48 photos, put your hospital and due date in your inquiry and I’ll let you know what works.
