Service area · Santa Fe, Texas
Santa Fe became a city in 1978, when voters chose to incorporate Alta Loma and part of Arcadia. The Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway came through the area back in 1877. I’m Jen Duke. If you’re expecting a baby in Santa Fe, I photograph newborns, plus maternity, Fresh 48 and family sessions, so you have real photos of those first weeks, with mom in them too.
Newborn sessions are in my natural-light home studio in Richwood. Fresh 48 can be at the hospital or at home, and family sessions can be at your home or outdoors. Each session includes a digital gallery you can download, share and print from.

Local to Santa Fe
Santa Fe had 12,735 residents at the 2020 census, up 4.2% from 2010. It sits in Galveston County, and Texas Monthly said in 2019 that it “still feels very much like a small town” (Wikipedia). Here is how life in Santa Fe can shape the photos you plan.
Santa Fe averages about 72 days a year above 90 degrees (Wikipedia). Newborn sessions stay indoors, in my natural-light Richwood studio. If your baby is due in summer, plan outdoor family photos for later in the year.
Joe A. Tambrella Park, next to the Mae S. Bruce Library on 6th Street, has covered pavilions, a walking trail and a play area for kids (City of Santa Fe). A covered pavilion is good open shade for your own phone photos. Stand just under the edge, facing out.
Santa Fe ISD runs R.J. Wollam, Dan J. Kubacak and Barnett elementary schools, Santa Fe Junior High and Santa Fe High School (Wikipedia). The newborn weeks feel long, but kindergarten comes fast. Save a few newborn prints for the day they start school.
