Service area · Bonney, Texas
Bonney started in 1873 as a railroad station and was named for a train conductor. With 180 people in the 2020 census, it’s been called the smallest village in Texas. I’m Jen Duke, and I photograph maternity, Fresh 48, newborn and family sessions for Bonney parents who want real photos of their little ones to print, and photos with mom in them too.
Newborn sessions take place in my natural-light home studio in Richwood. Fresh 48 is in the hospital or at home, and family sessions can be at home or outdoors. Every session includes a digital gallery for downloading and ordering prints.

Local to Bonney
Bonney sits in north-central Brazoria County, 10 miles north of Angleton, the county seat, with State Highway 288 passing a mile to the east. Its kids attend Angleton ISD schools, and the 2020 census counted just 180 residents (Wikipedia). Here is how life in a village this small shapes your photo plans.
Bonney’s 180 residents live on less than two square miles of land in north-central Brazoria County (Wikipedia). If you’d rather not leave the house in those first days, Fresh 48 photos can happen at home as well as at the hospital. Put your plans in your inquiry and I’ll let you know what works.
Bonney kids grow up to be Angleton Wildcats, whose colors are purple and white (Wikipedia). For family photos, pick one color like that and pair it with neutrals. Two or three calm colors look better in print than everyone in a different bright shirt.
The Brazoria County Fair runs for nine days each October at the fairgrounds in Angleton, with rodeos, live music and cookoffs (The Facts). The City of Angleton calls it the largest county fair in Texas (City of Angleton). For family photos before the holidays, reach out to me by late summer, since sessions often book months ahead.
